Who are the Illinois Valley Pistol Shrimp ?
The Illinois Valley Pistol Shrimp joined the Prospect League in 2019 and play their home games at Veterans Memorial Park in Peru, Illinois. Led by General Manager June Keeley and Field Manager John Jakiemiec, the Pistol Shrimp have quickly become a competitive force in the league.
They’ve captured the 2022 Wabash River Division Championship and have made two playoff appearances (2019, 2022). Their best season came in 2022 with a 38–21 record.
