The Catfish Welcome Jorge Romero!

Jorge Romero

When you find one good player at a college, why not grab two?! Jorge Romero is a teammate of Dante Zamudio and that connection will now be a Catfish connection. Romero is from North Hills, California in the San Fernando Valley which is only a few hours away from LAPC where he went to play baseball.

2021/2022 – Romero is a two way player who pitches and catches. His freshman season he played in 31 games he had 13 hits in 77 at bats. He scored 7 runs, 8 rbi’s, a double and a home run batting .169. On the mound he appeared in 8 games, 4 as a starter. Ended his season with an 0-1 record in 17 innings pitched and a 10.59 ERA.

2022/2023 – As a sophomore, Romero, still a two way player, found himself being the main arm for Los Angeles Pierce this spring. He appeared in 15 games, starting 10 of those. He ended with a record of 3-6 in 72 innings pitched. He struck out 68 and had an ERA of 6.63.

The Catfish are excited to have a couple of LAPC players. Welcome to the pond Jorge.
