2022: Esker appeared in eight games and made two starts on the mound as a freshman for the Redhawks. He posted seven strikeouts in 12.1 inning with both of his starts ending in no decision. His highlight was tossing two scoreless innings with one strikeout in his first career start at Ole Miss (4/19), the eventual NCAA Baseball National Champions. The Redhawks won that game by a score of 13-3. He had a season-high two strikeouts in 1.1 innings of relief vs. Southern Illinois (4/12 and his longest outing was 3.1 scoreless innings at Saint Louis (3/29).

Prep: The crafty 6′ 4″ left-handed pitcher graduated from Christian Brothers College High School in St. Louis. As a senior, he put together a 6-1 record with a 2.31 ERA in 13 appearances and nine starts. He was tied for first on the team in wins, had 51 strikeouts in 42.3 innings and boasted a .857 winning percentage on the mound. Prep Baseball Report (PBR) ranked him as the #3 left-handed pitcher in the state of Missouri. He was a First-Team All-Metro Catholic Conference selection as a senior and participated in the 2019 PBR Future Games. He played varsity baseball since his sophomore season.
