Kevin McCarthy is a 5’11”, 185lb infielder from Knoxville, Tennessee who bats from the left side and throws from the right.
2023:
McCarthy is having a great senior season, his first season, for the 31-17 Firehawks…..He’s appeared in 38 games…..he’s 3rd on the team with a .360 batting average……through 48 games he’s started 38 of them collecting 50 hits, 36 runs scored, 13 doubles a triple and 4 home runs……he’e knocked in 33 runs, drawn 21 walks and stolen 3 bases.
2022:
McCarthy played for LMU his junior year…..appearing in 10 games and batting .318 with 5 runs batted in….transferred from Columbia State Community College….
2021:
McCarthy was an everyday player for Columbia State CC his sophomore season as he batted .269 and played in 44 games…..he had 32 hits, scored 24 runs and drove in 30…..belted 8 doubles, a triple and 4 home runs and stole 6 bases without being caught….
2020: McCarthy was having a nice freshman season for the Chargers when Covid shortened the season….he was batting .298 in 21 games with 17 hits, 8 runs scored and 11 rib’s….he had 3 doubles a triple and 2 home runs before the season was cut short…..he played his high school baseball in Farragut, TN.
