The Cape Catfish Welcome Curry Sutherland!

The Catfish have reeled in another one

Curry Sutherland is a 6′ 4″ 210lb SS/3B/RHP from Logan-Rogersville HS who is committed to play baseball for the Missouri State University Bears in the fall.

He is a two sport athlete, basketball and baseball and has excelled at both.  Coming off a successful senior season in hoops where his team missed the final four by one game.  He was named All-District, All-Conference and All-State.

Curry has been a key contributor for the Logan-Rogersville baseball team since his sophomore year where his stat line was:  .356 BA, 11 doubles, four home run and 22 rbi’s.  On the mound he was 5-0 with a 1.45 era, 48 k’s in 33 innings pitched.  He was named 1st team all district and 2nd team all conference.

His junior year was starting out even better.  Through 16 games he was batting .439 with 4 doubles, 1 triple and 3 homeruns with 23 rbi’s.  His season ended when he had Tommy John surgery.  

He’s back at full strength and played for the Adidas Athletics travel baseball team last summer where he hit .341, 3 triples, 1 homerun, 41 rbi’s, 33 runs scored with 29 walks.  He was a preseason Perfect Game underclassman All American for the central region in 2022 and a Perfect Game Preseason All American for 2023.
