Catfish Welcome Back Bryce Morgan
Bryce Morgan spent his first spring in 2022 at Mineral Area Community College as a redshirt pitcher. When summer came, the former Kelly High School standout Bryce Morgan was anxious to get back on a baseball diamond. He was signed as a temp player for the Cape Catfish but pitched so well he earned a spot on the permanent roster. Bryce appeared in 10 games, all out of the bullpen and went 2-0 in 24.1 innings pitched with an impressive 3.70 ERA. No shocker that the Catfish wanted to bring him back again for the summer.
At MAC he didn’t see a lot of mound time early in the 2023 season but the last 3 or 4 weeks he’s been a go to arm. He’s appeared in 13 games, 3 of them as a starter. He has a 5-0 record with one save along with 33 K’s in 29.1 innings pitched. He’s only allowed 7 free passes and his ERA sits at an minuscule 0.92. MAC just beat Three Rivers and is headed to the Region 16 tournament in Joplin, Mo. this weekend.
Good luck to Bryce and his Cardinal teammates. We’ll leave the lights on for ya at Capaha kid.
