Prospect League Announces 2024 Schedule
MAHOMET, Ill. (January 4)– The Prospect League proudly released today its schedule for the 2024 season. The 2024 Prospect League season will feature 18 teams, up from 17 in 2023, marking the league’s largest season in its’ 61st year of baseball.
New in 2024, the Dubois County Bombers of Huntingburg, Ind., and the Full Count Rhythm of Hendersonville, Tenn. join the league footprint as the Prospect League now stretches across seven states.
2024 Opening Day is slated for Tuesday, May 28, 2024, with 16 teams in action. All 18 teams will take the field together for the first time on Wednesday, May 29th. The 2024 season will again be split into a first half and a second half with the first half concluding play on June 30th and the second half beginning on July 1st. The 2024 regular season will conclude on July 31st.
The 2024 Prospect League Champion will be crowned following the regular season with the same playoff format used over the past three seasons. The playoffs will begin with four winner-take-all division championships followed by two winner-take-all conference championships and will conclude with a best-of-three league championship series. The playoffs are tentatively slated to begin on August 1st and conclude on August 8th.
