CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO, March 3, 2023 – The Cape Catfish have entered into a multi-year partnership agreement with Under Armour, one of the world’s best-known and most popular athletic apparel brands.

The exclusive, three-year agreement was announced today (March 3) by Catfish president and minority owner Glenn Campbell who said the team is excited about the partnership.

“The Under Armour brand is worn by countless college athletes around the country. They partner with hundreds of professional and collegiate athletic programs from coast-to-coast including Southeast Missouri State here in Cape,” he said. “We are very proud to be part of the UA stable of teams.”

In a statement about its partnership agreement, Under Armour said its mission “is all about making you better, and we are excited to further that mission with the Catfish and to empower our athletes to strive for more through this partnership.”

Under the agreement, the Catfish will be dressed head to toe in Under Armour. UA will provide team uniforms and coaches gear as well as a wide range of Catfish apparel, bearing the distinctive UA logo, for staff and fans. “We’ll have new uniforms this year with a sneak peek closer to the start of the season. New fan gear is also on its way and will be available sometime in April,” Campbell said. will also be added at Capaha Field where the Catfish will play 29 home games during their 2023 Prospect League season. The team’s home opener is set for Saturday, June 3, against Rockabillys from Jackson, Tennessee.

Campbell joined the Catfish front office in November following a career in the sports apparel industry during which he was the co-founder of the athletic headwear company Lids. In addition to new uniforms and fan apparel, Catfish officials say the Under Armour agreement will help recruit players to the Catfish roster. “We’re very fortunate to have this partnership,” said Mark Hogan, the team’s general manager, “because players love the brand and want to wear it as they train and play.”

Catfish team apparel will be available during home games at Capaha Park as well as at the Catfish offices/team store, 83 South Plaza Way in Cape Girardeau, and on the Catfish website, www.capecatfish.com.
