CJ Backer joins the Catfish coaching staff this summer and will serve as the teams pitching coach.  Backer, a right handed pitcher from Newburgh Indiana,  earned NJCAA All-American honors at Danville area Community College before continuing his career at Purdue University.  He has also played professionally in the Independent Baseball Leagues, including stints with the Evansville Otters and Rocky Mountain Vibes.

He just finished his second season as the pitching coach at Milwaukee Area Technical College.
